Jenkins farms apple valley orchard
WELCOME TO JENKINS FARM'S APPLE VALLEY ORCHARD
So what's in a name? You may notice the addition of "Jenkins Farm's" to our title. We are still the same family ran business that concentrates on providing a great product and
experience you and your family will remember for years to
come. We simply expanded our name to fit the future our farm. Within a couple of years we will no longer be just an orchard, but rather a you pick farm offering apples, plums, berries, pumpkins, vegetables and more.
Come down and "Pick your own Fruit"!
We offer pick your own apples, as well as prepackaged apples.
We have cold drinks and snacks available for your convenience. We have restroom facilities on site as well.
If you are planning on coming down, please remember that you will be around an active farm environment that contains small irrigation ditches, uneven ground, etc. We recommend wearing appropriate clothing and foot wear so you will get the most enjoyment possible from this great experience. Also, parents
please keep a close eye on your children to keep them safe.
We currently welcome pets, BUT ALL DOGS ARE REQUIRED TO BE ON A LEASH AT ALL TIMES and if they are causing problems, we will ask that you remove them
from the area.

The cool weather is really helping the apples along. We still have Gala, Macintosh, Cortlands and a few of plums ready to pick. In addition, this weekend our Jonathon's will be ready as well.
Also, we are now featuring fresh Peach Apple and Plum Apple Jams made right here on the farm. The Peach Apple is made from Organic peaches from Ela Farms here in Colorado. The plums we use are the same type as we have for You Pick and grown right here in Penrose.
We are scheduled to open on September 6th. We will have you pick Gala, Cortland, Macintosh as well as plums. Our crop is limited due to a late spring frost, so varieties will disappear fast.
2014 marks the beginning of some new great things to come at the farm. We have decided to start the transition to become an organic, or at least all natural orchard. Since we had a light crop this year, we figured it would be a good time to work towards the change. We DID NOT use any pesticides on our fruit this season. Consequently, there are some apples with pest damage. We will keep our you pick price lower to reflect the lesser quality. We look forward to the transition and doing our part to create a safer, healthy product and environment.
Opening Soon! Fall is just around the corner. We will be opening in mid September. Check back for updated dates.
Our new Website launched! Due to changes with our web hosting service, we had to build a new website. Bare with us as we continue to make changes to optimize the site.
